About the Role
This role involves taking care of the customers' needs in reception and also spectacle repairs and fittings.
Requirements
 IKey Responsibilities:
Â
Help customers choose the right eyewear, including frames and lenses, based on their prescription and personal preferences.
Provide expert advice on frame fitting, lens types, and aftercare.
Measure and fit eyewear, ensuring optimal comfort and functionality.
Support the optometrist with patient preparation and follow-up appointments.
Help with customer collections of glasses and contact lenses
Spectacle adjustments
Spectacle Repair
General Administration

Contacting customers regarding appointments
Answer and send emails
Cashing up
Processing Optical vouchers for payment
Under standing Direct debit administration
Process payments, insurance claims, and invoices.
Handle correspondence and assist with any general administrative tasks as required.
Help with social media.

Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the optical industry (though training will be provided for the right candidate).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Happy to work alone and be able to self organize

A positive, can-do attitude with a professional and friendly approach to work.
Desirable (but not essential):
Your main place of work would be between Parkhurst Opticians in Thorne and Bentley, although covering other team members may take you to one of our other branches located in Doncaster, Mexborough or Goldthorpe.
Full Time:
5 days per week on a rota basis
Hours of work: 8.45 to 5pm Monday to Friday
                         8.45 to 3pm Saturday
30 mins for lunch
At the present time we only work Monday to Friday this could be subject to change.
Salary depending on experience
Holidays 29 days including Bank Holidays.
